About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Lead to provide operational and strategic support for the Application Operations Center and Postproduction Validation teams
- Identify, evaluate, and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload
- Recommend and deploy advanced tools and methodologies for application operations and validation activities
- Analyze workflows and develop standard operating procedure and best-practice documentation
- Oversee daily application support and monitoring activities to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability
- Coordinate task execution with onshore and offshore teams and promote adoption of new processes and technologies
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key performance indicators and present findings to leadership
- Ensure automation and process improvements comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and change management activities
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and communicate progress on automation initiatives
- Create and maintain testing strategies aligned with Humana's Quality Enablement and Test Strategy guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, systems engineering, or similar technical roles
- 5+ years of technical expertise in Dynatrace, Thousand Eyes, Splunk, and other monitoring tools
- 5+ years of experience in Java or Python
- Experience with intelligent automation tools, such as RPA, process automation, Azure AI, Claude code, and GitHub Copilot
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for increased productivity and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams and varying levels of personnel
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
- Ability to create and maintain testing strategies aligned with Humana's Quality Enablement and Test Strategy guidelines
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms preferred
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code preferred
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability running large-scale projects preferred
- Experience with technology solutions assessments and strategy planning oversight preferred
- Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and workflow orchestration preferred
- Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home or hybrid home/office work
- Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
