About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build a brand-new Pharmacy Eligibility application
Modernize legacy components and improve resiliency and performance
Enhance backend workflows to support timely claims adjudication
Design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions for healthcare and wellness experiences
Develop for scalability, reliability, stability, and maintainability
Participate in coding, testing, debugging, optimizing, and deploying production-ready systems
Improve engineering quality through testing strategies, tooling, automation, and standards
Investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
Collaborate with product, architecture, quality assurance, and cross-functional agile teams
Contribute to innovation, continuous learning, and improvements to the consumer journey
Serve as a technical authority driving architectural direction and scalable application delivery
Coach other engineers and lead development of enterprise-grade applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development
Experience in PySpark, Databricks and Cloud engineering
Experience deploying and maintaining Cloud based applications using Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service
Experience with relational databases at scale
Knowledge of server-side languages .Net, .Net Core or .Net Framework 7.0 and higher
Experience with event driven or message driven systems
Experience with CI/CD software development methodology
Master's Degree preferred
PBM experience preferred
Experience using GCP or Azure preferred
Experience with PostgreSQL or MS-SQL preferred
Experience with Kafka Streaming platform preferred
Experience with a modern, client-side framework such as Angular, React or Vue preferred
Minimum 25 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed for home internet
Ability to work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
