About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Brand and Visuals, and IS teams to discuss project requirements and make technical recommendations
Write efficient code and maintain custom donation forms, advocacy forms, webpages, and email templates
Apply best practices for user experience, accessibility, page speed optimization, and GDPR compliance
Adhere to global regulations, regional data compliance, and security compliance standards
Use AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding assistants for coding, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation
Identify, maintain, monitor, update, or retire AI-assisted and agent-built solutions
Apply human-in-the-loop review to AI-generated code and configurations before deployment
Follow quality assurance procedures and troubleshoot technical issues in Engaging Networks
Work with vendor partners and the Information Security team
Manage script inventory, attestation, and other PCI compliance requirements
Collaborate with testing teams to implement A/B and multivariate testing features on forms
Create and maintain development documentation, support guides, and incident reports
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer programming, web development, or related field, or equivalent work experience required
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in front-end web development and developing custom websites required
Demonstrated experience with Engaging Networks or other eCRMs
Proficient in HTML5, Sass and CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, GitHub, Engaging Networks modules, Webpack, Node, npm, core AWS services, and Mailgun
Familiar with Segment or other CDPs
Direct experience with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot
Knowledge of responsive, mobile-first web design, UX, accessibility, page speed optimization, browser support, and GDPR compliance
Familiar with cookie consent tools, preferably Iubenda
Experience building interactive data visualizations
Experience coding projects based on Adobe XD files or Figma
Understanding of digital marketing strategies for US and international audiences
Knowledge of AI trends in web development, including personalization and workflow automation, and their responsible application
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver high quality work on deadline
Data-informed problem solving with experience with A/B testing platforms and Google Analytics
Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus
Interest in animal protection issues preferred
