About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end product design processes from concept to launch
- Craft clear, engaging, and functional interfaces for mobile apps and web applications
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Work directly with German-speaking stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into product and design solutions
- Conduct user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and final UI delivery
- Present design concepts, decisions, and recommendations in German and English
- Apply usability principles and advocate for user needs
- Develop scalable design systems and reusable components
- Iterate on user flows and interface elements based on user feedback and data
- Communicate design concepts with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams and markets
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and product design best practices
- Contribute to multidisciplinary projects focused particularly on large-scale telecommunications platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in product design, focused more on mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Strong expertise in Figma, including design tokens and variables
- Familiarity with usability testing, user research methodologies and accessibility standards
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric digital product design projects
- Very good professional command of German, written and spoken
- Excellent command of English, written and spoken
- Experience with AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code or Cursor is nice to have
- Experience with web and mobile software development processes is nice to have
- Previous experience with German-speaking or international stakeholders is nice to have
- Background in telecommunications, financial services, retail, or SaaS is nice to have
- Startup or scale-up experience is nice to have
- Experience with large-scale digital products or design systems is nice to have
- Strong product thinking and user-centered design approach
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, intuitive user experiences
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Professional maturity and commitment to high-quality work
- Confidence presenting and defending design decisions while remaining open to feedback
