About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide artistic direction, quality control, and aesthetic consistency for 2D deliverables
  • Establish the overall artistic direction for projects and translate concepts into visual creations
  • Lead the creative process from initial ideation through final production files
  • Supervise the graphic execution of projects
  • Modernize 2D expertise for digital, interactive, and media applications
  • Guide interdisciplinary collaboration across digital, interactive design, motion design, and media integration
  • Streamline workflows with the 3D design, content, exhibition design, media, and user experience teams
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the 2D design team
  • Evaluate team members, map skills, and structure training and development paths
  • Structure workload management and improve the department’s self-management and productivity
  • Estimate effort, plan, and track creative schedules
  • Prepare the team for direct client interaction and visual concept presentations
  • Report directly to the Studio Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate artistic discipline, such as graphic design, multimedia, fine arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive experience in art direction, graphic design, and leading multidisciplinary creative teams
  • Demonstrated expertise and forward-looking vision in the digital transformation of 2D design
  • Experience with interactive interfaces, motion design, and media integration applied to spatial design or museum environments
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline collaboration between creative and technical disciplines
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and modern interactive prototyping, animation, and project management tools
  • Hands-on experience presenting and explaining creative concepts to diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of or hands-on experience in exhibition design, environmental design, or scenography is a strong asset
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design, brand identity, and comprehensive visual development
