About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and operate cloud-native infrastructure for AI solutions, data pipelines, APIs, agents and platform services
Use Azure as the primary platform and AWS where existing data or integration landscapes require it
Create reusable infrastructure, deployment, observability and environment patterns
Automate provisioning, configuration, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, secrets management and cost controls
Support cloud architecture decisions for agentic workflows, model integrations, event-driven services, data platforms and external APIs
Work with security and data protection teams on identity, access, encryption, logging, isolation and operational resilience
Help country IT and local teams onboard environments, connect systems, troubleshoot deployments and scale successful use cases
Improve platform reliability, developer experience, cloud cost transparency and operational maturity
Collaborate with Group AI leadership, the Agentic Platform team, data engineering, security, country IT and local implementation teams
Take AI use cases from incubation to deployment and scale

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior-level experience in cloud-native development and deployment
Strong Azure experience, with practical exposure to AWS
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerised workloads, monitoring, logging and operational support
Solid engineering skills in Python and SQL
Understanding of enterprise data engineering concepts: ETL, data pipelines, data storage and integration patterns
Experience working in cross-functional, international teams and with local IT organisations
Comfortable using GenAI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or OpenCode
Fluent English (B2 minimum)
TypeScript preferred
Hands-on data engineering experience preferred
Experience with Snowflake, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Agent Framework, LangChain, MCP or comparable AI platform tooling preferred
Exposure to frontend development, developer portals, workflow builders or internal platform UIs preferred
Experience in heterogeneous, multi-country enterprise environments preferred
Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) preferred
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, platform engineering or SRE practices preferred
