About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in workshops to discover and analyze business processes
  • Understand the cooperative’s organization and practices in order to identify functional requirements
  • Advise project teams on best practices in the cereal industry
  • Help translate business needs into functional requirements
  • Participate in ERP configuration decisions, ensuring alignment with the client’s processes
  • Identify gaps between existing practices and the solution’s standard functionality
  • Support functional decision-making, favoring best practices over custom development where appropriate
  • Participate in functional testing and validate enhancements
  • Support key users throughout the various stages of the project
  • Act as the interface between the client’s business teams, functional consultants, and technical teams
  • Provide operational expertise for the deployment of an ERP system dedicated to managing the collection and marketing of cereals and agricultural supplies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: cereal collection, silo and inventory management, grading and quality control, purchase and sales contracts, traceability, logistics and transportation, cereal marketing, invoicing and payments, or the operations of an agricultural cooperative or grain storage organization
  • Knowledge of agricultural supplies
  • Comfortable working on information systems projects
  • Understanding of the challenges involved in ERP integration
  • Ability to communicate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams
  • Excellent knowledge of the cereal industry and its business processes
  • Broad, cross-functional understanding of agricultural cooperative processes
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to facilitate workshops
  • Analytical and summarization skills
  • Ability to formalize functional requirements
  • Enjoyment of teamwork and knowledge sharing
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
  • Initial ERP training lasting at least three weeks
  • Independent consulting engagement or engagement through a consulting firm
