About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage professional billing teams to ensure timely and accurate claim submission and follow-up
- Partner with Huron and Luminis leadership to implement revenue cycle strategies
- Monitor professional billing performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet KPIs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations
- Lead resolution of escalated issues and optimize revenue cycle outcomes
- Foster team respect, accountability, and professional development
- Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Lead process enhancements and technology implementations with clinical, administrative, and IT teams
- Reduce denials and write-offs and improve cash collections
- Contribute to resource planning and operational improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in professional billing operations
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required
- Strong knowledge of professional billing processes
- Epic experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, lead teams, and implement process improvements
- Must be able to work onsite at Luminis Health facilities in Maryland
