About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Establish and run the project management framework, processes, and reporting for Huron’s Security and GRC programs
Manage projects for Huron’s corporate IT Security and GRC teams
Drive projects and initiatives across corporate teams and lines of business
Liaise with technical and business groups to gather requirements
Promote compliance and security best practices
Administer project management framework, processes, tools, and templates
Manage the full project lifecycle of portfolios, programs, and projects
Assess potential projects, define scope, maintain business cases, identify stakeholders, gather requirements, create timelines, and manage project plans
Identify potential blockers and optimization points
Incorporate fundamental security and GRC practices into project delivery
Track projects, communicate progress, drive accountability, and escalate issues
Monitor milestones, deadlines, resources, issues, risks, budgets, and timelines
Track project management metrics and provide status reporting and dashboards
Provide executive-level visibility into ongoing projects and initiatives
Develop relationships with senior leaders, managers, SMEs, and staff across the Corporate Security and GRC teams and lines of business

Requirements

What you’ll need

An undergraduate degree is required
Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or advanced academic degree in project management
Experience in project/program management of large and small portfolios, programs, and projects, including audits and implementing security best practices across various geographies and functional areas
Experience using an industry standard methodology, for example, PMBOK or Prince2
Understanding of basic cyber security and GRC
At least 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a large company or consulting firm
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for technical and business audiences
Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project/SharePoint, ADO, or similar tools
Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, and their practical application in project management
Ability to absorb technical information in limited timeframes
Flexibility with work hours that may require engaging with teams outside normal business hours
Analytical problem-solving skills, including analyzing datasets and presenting information for senior management decision-making
Security certifications such as CISM, CRISC, or CISSP are preferred
Deeper understanding of security and GRC, including network, cloud, information risk management, privacy, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, DLP, Endpoint, security operations/SOC, and third-party risk management
Experience with process automation and optimization
