About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate and prepare clinical research study contracts
- Handle Confidentiality Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, Nonconforming Subcontracts, Master Service Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Data Transfer Agreements
- Serve as a senior member of Huron’s Research Office team
- Lead stakeholder alignment and training activities
- Mentor and develop technical skills in others
- Contribute to practice development projects and align the organization’s point of view with industry best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. work authorization is required
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research administration and/or legal-rated experience with contracts
- Expertise in managing complex, high-stakes contracts, including Clinical Trial Agreements
- Mastery in contract law, particularly in research agreements
- Ability to communicate intricate contract details and negotiation outcomes clearly and precisely
- Experience setting clear expectations and addressing potential concerns proactively
- Deep analytical skills for complex contract clause analysis
- Experience building and maintaining collaborative relationships with diverse groups
- Experience embracing and leading change for continuous process improvement
- Familiarity with federal regulations related to clinical research, including NIH regulations covering NIH-funded inventions
- Experience in research or healthcare compliance
- Experience working in an administrative or business office of a university, hospital, or research institute, particularly involving complex contract management
- Demonstrated leadership in stakeholder alignment and training activities
- Ability to mentor and develop technical skills in others
- Ability to balance multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain high utilization and throughput targets without compromising quality
- Engagement in practice development projects and awareness of industry trends and contractual nuances
