About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to all phases of custom residential project development, from permitting and early design through construction administration and project completion
Develop thoughtful design solutions and technical documentation that carry design intent through every stage of the project
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration
Coordinate project schedules, consultants, documentation, and construction administration activities to support successful project execution
Develop schematic designs, presentation materials, and material selections that support the overall design vision while ensuring technical quality and code compliance
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture through technical guidance and design reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited program
8-10+ years of professional architectural experience with a strong focus on custom residential design
Professional architectural license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
Demonstrated experience producing high-quality design and construction documentation across all project phases
Strong technical understanding of residential architecture, wood-frame construction, building codes, and construction administration
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
Strong collaborative leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing team members
Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
Strong hand sketching skills are preferred
