About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead finance activities and oversee financial performance and resources
Ensure financial stability, efficiency, and profitability
Provide specialist accounting and financial support to group companies
Create and implement financial plans aligned with strategic objectives
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies
Forecast and plan cash flow
Manage cash reserves, monitor cash inflows and outflows, and optimize working capital
Control costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, tax laws, and BEE requirements
Communicate with investors, creditors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow, at entity and business levels
Take full responsibility for annual external audits and secretarial functions
Manage taxation and BBBEE compliance
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide data-driven insights
Manage the finance team
Pursue personal development and meet company growth-plan targets

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant Tertiary Financial Qualification (Bachelor of Commerce Degree + Hons)
Relevant Professional Qualification (CIMA/CA(SA))
Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience (CA(SA) or CIMA)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Ability to operate cross-functionally as a team player
Understanding of financial reporting, cash management, audit, and compliance
Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Advanced Xero Skills or similar Accounting System
Experience in integration/automation solutions
If working from home, uninterrupted internet connectivity and a work-like home environment are required
