About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, validate, and benchmark new customer clusters, then hand them over with documentation
  • Provide deep escalations for multinode and NCCL performance, GPU and hardware faults, driver and fabric issues, containers, and schedulers
  • Prove fault location, escalate issues to infrastructure providers with evidence, and coordinate maintenance windows, RMAs, hung-node fixes, and disputed fault attribution
  • Own named customer accounts and learn their workloads and infrastructure
  • Advise customers on changes needed before they encounter issues
  • Own monitoring and alerting for customer clusters using Grafana and Prometheus
  • Automate repetitive work and convert escalations into L1 runbooks
  • Stay embedded with customer environments after cluster handoff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep Linux experience and total comfort in the CLI, including in someone else's broken environment
  • Hands-on multinode GPU experience: NCCL, InfiniBand or RoCE, collective performance debugging, topology and placement
  • Hardware fault triage on GPU nodes: XID and ECC errors, dmesg, lspci, nvidia-smi, thermal and power faults
  • Experience provisioning and operating GPU clusters with Kubernetes, Slurm, or both
  • Genuine comfort with customer-facing work, including delivering bad news and confidently attributing responsibility
  • Sound judgment on when to keep digging and when to escalate
  • Experience with parallel filesystems (Weka, Lustre, GPFS) and high-performance storage preferred
  • Grafana, Prometheus, or similar observability stacks in production preferred
  • Prior forward deployed engineer, solutions architect, or technical account manager experience preferred
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI for cluster provisioning preferred
  • Exposure to model training or inference workloads from the practitioner side preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
