About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and continuously enhance a domain-specific data foundation for the installment-loan business
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and reliable data structures, for example using dbt
  • Consolidate data from different sources and identify and manage dependencies
  • Prepare data for reporting, analytics, and AI applications
  • Develop reusable and reliable data products
  • Structure and provide data for AI and automation use cases while adhering to data protection requirements, the GDPR, sensitive financial-data regulations, and secure data-access principles
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Take end-to-end ownership of data products, from modeling and implementation through stable operation
  • Independently prioritize and drive cross-team initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience building and operating data pipelines, data models, or analytics-engineering solutions in production environments
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Python
  • Experience with dbt and Airflow
  • Knowledge of data transformation, orchestration, and testing
  • Experience working with existing system landscapes and managing business, technical, and organizational dependencies
  • Ability to understand complex processes in the installment-loan business and translate requirements into data models
  • Experience with testing, monitoring, plausibility checks, or comparable mechanisms for ensuring data quality
  • Understanding of the data-quality, structure, and availability requirements of AI and automation applications
  • Ideally, experience with data protection (e.g., GDPR), access-control concepts, and sensitive data in regulated environments
  • Data-product mindset
  • German language skills at least at C1 level, both written and spoken
