About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help build the automation landscape centered around n8n
Develop, operate, and optimize workflows for recurring tasks, process chains, and cross-functional operations
Analyze business processes together with specialist departments and process managers
Identify automation opportunities and prioritize them based on business impact, technical feasibility, and scalability potential
Translate business requirements into stable, production-ready end-to-end workflows
Take ownership of automation solutions from requirements gathering and implementation through operation, monitoring, optimization, and further development
Integrate internal and external systems via APIs and common data formats
Establish quality standards, governance structures, review processes, and reusable components
Enable colleagues to understand, further develop, or implement automations themselves
Help shape VALUE AG’s automation strategy within the Hypoport network

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of hands-on experience with n8n in a production business environment
Proven track record of building, operating, and further developing business-critical automations
Strong programming skills, e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
Solid understanding of frontend technologies
Experience with API integrations and data formats
Knowledge of modern automation and integration architectures
Understanding of technical interdependencies and business requirements
Ability to assess effort, benefits, risks, and scalability potential
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
Strong sense of ownership
Confident communication with specialist departments, process owners, and stakeholders
Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and understandably
German at least at C1 level
English at least at B1 level
Experience with UiPath, RPA, or migrating existing automation solutions is a plus
Experience with browser automation, e.g. Puppeteer or comparable technologies, is a plus
