About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate to build enterprise Android applications through the full agile software development process
Troubleshoot, design, code, and test bug fixes and new functionalities
Deliver code through an evolving CI/CD pipeline to on-premises and public cloud deployments
Protect intellectual property, user data, and system integrity by following secure software development policies and best practices
Maintain and communicate status in Jira and daily standups
Reconcile product requirements with an understanding of Android internals
Implement production-quality features for the Hypori Client app
Enhance the Hypori Client app using capabilities in the Android ecosystem
Create unit tests and execute test suites with a test automation framework
Work on a small team to solve complex problems through initiative, critical thinking, collaboration, risk-taking, and clear communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience developing mobile applications on Android
3+ years of experience leading the development of mobile applications
Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines and Flow
Experience with Jetpack Compose for declarative UI
Familiarity with Gradle (Kotlin DSL) and multi-module Android projects
Experience with a dependency injection framework (Koin, Dagger, or Hilt)
Strong working knowledge of Kotlin coroutines and Java threading
Strong working knowledge of MVVM and unidirectional data flow design patterns
Working knowledge of Android Jetpack fundamentals (ViewModel, Lifecycle, DataStore)
Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and a mocking library such as MockK
Experience testing cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services or Azure
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix-based operating systems
Strong understanding of git version control
