About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead IT system operations and software development with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Design, implement, and manage business web applications and supporting server infrastructure
  • Drive continuous improvement through database management and web application development
  • Oversee IT projects and operational systems, including GEA platforms such as GCS, JIS, WMS, IVELES, and TMS
  • Improve system reliability, security, availability, and scalability
  • Manage critical issues and resolutions for existing application systems
  • Develop and propose resolutions or alternative solutions for improved information services
  • Lead IT system architecture design and direction
  • Monitor systems interfacing with GEA systems for stable operations and data integrity
  • Liaise with customers and partners’ IT departments
  • Develop and implement applications and drive enhancements across applications and infrastructure
  • Manage new IT program/software implementation and modification
  • Perform requirements analysis, application system design and development, and database management
  • Manage IT devices and hardware and oversee inventory management
  • Monitor system failures and performance and resolve issues promptly
  • Share system knowledge with team members to maintain backup coverage
  • Prepare documents and reports
  • Research IT system enhancements and emerging technologies
  • Evaluate and propose hardware, software, and solutions
  • Implement and test new enterprise applications
  • Provide on-site or remote support to other GLOVIS buildings when needed
  • Lead and manage team members through direction, planning, and coordination
  • Work Monday-Friday, first shift; rotating weekends and overtime may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT Management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; automotive preferred
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to develop and implement applications using Java, Vue, C#, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle, Java, JDK, Springboot, HTML, CSS, SVN, Node JS, and related Java frameworks
  • Database programming experience with Maria, Tibero, Oracle, and PL/SQL
  • Experience with open source software such as Linux, AWS, and Python preferred
  • Experience with Middleware such as Nginx, Tomcat, WebtoB, JEUS, Apache, and JBoss preferred
  • Ability to communicate with Korea headquarters and regional offices through reporting and meeting participation
  • Ability to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to commute to neighboring facilities for meetings and events
  • Must successfully complete employment verification, physicals, drug screens, criminal background checks, and E-Verify
