About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop Kotlin and Java Android applications for an in-vehicle infotainment product
Develop new vehicle programs with digital radio broadcast features
Use JIRA for issue analysis and resolution
Participate in design and code reviews
Create software requirements and design documents
Participate in vehicle quality events
Manage small projects and technical resources, including planning, estimating, and follow-through
Work with customers to refine requirements and resolve issues
Perform occasional international travel and frequent local travel

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
Experience developing automotive multimedia/infotainment software highly desired
Experience developing on Android Auto
Experience developing in Kotlin
Experience using Android Studio profiling tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Experience writing multi-threaded systems and diagnosing defects such as deadlocks and race conditions
Team player
Great attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reliable, with reliable mode of transportation
Ability to walk short distances and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
Must not require Mobis immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, E-2, TN, or J-1 support
