About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support mechanical product design and development for OEM automotive subsystems from concept through production
  • Manage STEP releases and upload 2D and 3D drawings
  • Support OEM development stage events according to product development timing
  • Act as liaison Mechanical CAD Engineer between MOBIS headquarters and OEM customers
  • Coordinate concept design through final design requirements, design reviews, changes, and feasibility reviews
  • Control and support delivery of mechanical engineering data and documents between OEM and MOBIS
  • Work on site at MNA and frequently offsite at OEM facilities
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external customers
  • Discuss future product definitions and refine requirements with customers
  • Resolve technical issues to maximize system performance
  • Report to the Engineering Manager of Infotainment Displays
  • Work on automotive HUD, ICS, and display products with local customers, local team members, and research engineers from Korea

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electronics CAD design
  • Proficiency in UG (latest version) and CATIA V5
  • Proficiency in CAD PLM systems and Teamcenter release processes
  • Ability to coordinate with OEM customers and global engineering teams
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and explain technical decisions clearly
  • Adaptability to work with overseas headquarters, including nightly discussions and cross-cultural communication
  • Previous automotive engineering experience at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • OEM resident experience
  • OEM Teamcenter experience
  • International joint work experience
  • Experience and understanding of display interfaces, including MIPI, DP, HDMI, LVDS, and FPD-Link IV
  • Knowledge of modern display technology, including video and graphics for display firmware
  • Ability to work 3 days on site per week
  • Ability to work a typical 45-hour work week
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times and navigate organizational facilities
  • Must not require Mobis immigration sponsorship now or in the future; sponsorship is not provided for H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or similar work authorization
  • Team-player attitude and strong attention to detail
