About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Data Analytics and Reporting team to deliver accurate and actionable quality reporting
  • Identify quality issues and manage the quality action process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to monitor quality issues, analyze external quality indicators and customer data, and escalate new quality cases
  • Translate complex quality metrics into actionable insights using statistical analysis, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and data visualization techniques
  • Build and maintain comprehensive, automated reports for quality stakeholders
  • Monitor syndicated quality studies, including J.D. Power and Consumer Reports, and develop action plans for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia brands
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests and provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize quality initiatives within the North American quality action process
  • Manage the prioritized quality issues working list across North America; escalate cases and collaborate with global teams to monitor and resolve them
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with internal teams and affiliates to align quality priorities and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and manage the Analytics and Reporting team through guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Manage budget, resource allocation, and forecasting activities
  • Foster a learning culture that develops analytical expertise and problem-solving capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, computer science, business, statistics, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • 7+ years of automotive industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, data reporting, or business analysis roles
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to present insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes and communicate best practices clearly
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong commitment to delivering high-quality analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data-driven charts)
  • Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams (creation of executive reports and presentations, cross-team collaboration, and virtual meetings)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
