About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage drivers and facilitate equipment logistics with affected parties
  • Prioritize and process equipment requests and releases via SharePoint
  • Acquire rental equipment as needed
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs between Fleet and field operations
  • Schedule downtime, track repairs through completion, and return units to service
  • Track asset utilization and identify idle or underused units
  • Redeploy assets or recommend their release
  • Coordinate equipment logistics across crews, projects, and locations to reduce idle time and rental spend
  • Dispatch drivers or vendors to move and deliver equipment
  • Provide service and support to operating divisions and utility field operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Specific expertise in both heavy equipment and boom equipped vehicles (aerial devices)
  • Driving record free of moving violations and accidents
  • Ability to drive company vehicles safely
  • Outlook Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word skills
  • Notary public certification or tag and title experience
  • Over five years’ work experience in the Automotive, Truck, or Equipment Field (desired)
  • College degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Construction Management (desired)
  • Valid CDL and working knowledge of heavy equipment (desired)
