About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the activities of the Professional Services team
- Provide administrative and actuarial services for iA Financial Group’s defined benefit pension plans and those of its external clients
- Participate in the implementation of new insured annuity clients
- Ensure the team’s operational efficiency and manage its human and material resources
- Develop and maintain business relationships with clients and partners
- Participate in projects, actuarial assignments, and consulting engagements related to pension plans
- Lead and engage a team of approximately 15 professionals
- Oversee talent acquisition, performance reviews, and skills development
- Communicate the sector’s vision, strategic issues, and needs
- Ensure compliance with engagement requirements and adherence to deadlines
- Plan, organize, and direct the team’s work
- Contribute to work optimization and process improvement
- Serve as a mentor to the team
- Participate in the development of strategic plans
- Support the sales team in developing new business relationships
- Participate in various special projects related to iA Financial Group’s pension plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science
- Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pension consulting
- Experience managing personnel
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and planning skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong team spirit
- Advanced proficiency in French and English
- Leadership skills
