About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate on the Sector’s strategic projects
  • Participate in the rollout of corporate compliance programs
  • Respond to support requests from Sector partners regarding legal and regulatory matters
  • Review documentation related to the products and services offered, as well as various contractual agreements
  • Monitor legislative developments affecting the Sector
  • Assess the impact of legislative changes on day-to-day operations
  • Communicate required changes to partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Member of the Bar
  • Undergraduate degree in Law
  • Knowledge of group insurance plans (a strong asset)
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation (an asset)
  • Intermediate proficiency in English
  • Ability to communicate daily with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada by email and telephone
