About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop and optimize business intelligence tools to support business decisions
  • Contribute to risk management controls and market analyses
  • Translate business needs into practical, tailored and well-documented solutions
  • Analyze data and recommend key performance indicators
  • Participate in governance of business intelligence assets
  • Contribute to information data quality
  • Support business partners in identifying and defining needs by highlighting available data and value-creation opportunities
  • Collaborate with data analysts, managers, pricing and claims specialists, and other business partners to transform data into performance drivers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, actuarial science, business intelligence or another related field
  • At least two years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL and a data visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to analyze complex data
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business partners with varied backgrounds
  • Autonomy, initiative and rigour, particularly in validation and documentation
  • Strong interest in technology and ability to learn and use new tools and programming languages
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Python or R is considered an asset
