About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and execute timely and reliable transactions in US and Canadian credit
- Support the trading team in order management and operational processes
- Share market insights with the investment management team
- Coordinate with Accounting, Legal, and Operations
- Develop and maintain counterparty relationships to ensure optimal access to liquidity
- Assist in developing junior traders
- Support improvements in the trade process, including pre/post-trade analytics and TCA
- Collaborate extensively with portfolio managers, analysts, Legal, Operations, Compliance, other fixed income traders, and traders in other asset classes
- Report directly to the Global Head of Trading
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 7 years of experience trading credit products
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Advanced degree or CFA preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment
- Experience trading FX, Equities, Futures, and Fixed Income products
- Strong knowledge of Bloomberg and other trading tools, including Candeal, MarketAxess, and Trumid
- Coding skills in Python, SQL, and VBA
