About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the dedicated point of contact for clients, developing, managing, and building client relationships
  • Participate in client retirement committee, annual, and employee meetings
  • Train new and existing clients on services, tools, and products
  • Manage client expectations through strong and effective communication
  • Understand client needs and find resolutions that satisfy those needs while respecting company capabilities and service standards
  • Develop communication plans with the education team to identify needs, improvements, and opportunities to increase pension-program participation and member engagement
  • Proactively communicate product, service, legislative, and other updates affecting clients’ pension programs
  • Work with the Sales team to develop new business and participate in finalist presentations for prospective clients
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the service model and strategies
  • Collaborate with other Client Relationship Managers in internal meetings and workshops to share experiences, knowledge, and tips

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships and resolve complex client situations
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presenting, persuasion, and planning skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • 5 years of experience in financial services, financial planning, and customer services
  • Detailed pension knowledge and experience with strong technical skills
  • Canadian securities course, or mutual fund license, or CFP, or life insurance license
  • Bilingualism in French, both verbal and written, would be an asset
  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle required
