About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assume end-to-end accountability for advanced market cases and national accounts, from pre-underwriting through in-force servicing
Develop and position iA’s field underwriting expertise with specialized advisors and distribution partners
Provide technical leadership in medical and financial risk assessment
Analyze and assess complex sales concepts for alignment with risk appetite, profitability objectives, and client experience
Lead and mobilize a multidisciplinary team including underwriters, case coordinators, tax experts, and actuarial experts
Act as a credible leader with internal teams, distribution partners, and reinsurers
Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions
Support talent development and knowledge transfer

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong expertise in advanced market underwriting, including field underwriting and knowledge of individual insurance products
Ability to navigate complex environments with credibility, leadership, and a collaborative approach
Strong communication and influencing skills
Ability to simplify and explain complex underwriting and sales concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams while fostering talent development and knowledge transfer
Significant experience in underwriting within the advanced market segment
Proven leadership in managing high-impact, cross-functional initiatives
Advanced level of English proficiency required
Regular interaction, presentation, and collaboration with partners, distributors, and stakeholders across Canada
