About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end‑to‑end supply chain strategy and execution for major transmission, substation, and grid‑modernization projects across NYSEG and RG&E
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, logistics, and risk/contract management for timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of critical materials and equipment
  • Own logistics orchestration from source to site, including Incoterms selection, customs/import/export compliance, transportation planning, storage/preservation, environmental controls, and warranty safeguarding
  • Develop portfolio-level supply chain strategies, sourcing waves, governance, KPIs, supplier scorecards, and performance reviews
  • Coordinate BOMs, drawing packages, equipment specifications, BoQ/MTO/WBS structures, RFQs, schedules, and field progress
  • Lead pre-award market soundings, RFP/RFQ events, clarifications, and terms and conditions negotiations
  • Oversee post-award expediting, change control, claims/liquidated damages, performance recovery, warranty administration, and closeout
  • Manage global logistics, customs and trade compliance, insurance, warehousing, yards/stores, preservation, and environmental controls
  • Maintain supply-chain risk registers and provide portfolio-level visibility on material readiness, funding needs, contingency, and management reserves
  • Develop early-warning indicators and executive dashboards using Power BI and SAP
  • Interface with utilities, regulators, municipalities, ports, carriers, OEMs, customs brokers, and insurers
  • Lead lessons learned and supplier-development initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related field required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated expertise with Incoterms, international logistics, customs/trade compliance, marine/heavy‑haul risk, and complex warranty administration
  • Experience integrating supply chain with engineering maturity (FEL/gates), project schedules (Primavera P6), SAP materials management, and portfolio cost/risk governance
  • Ability to interface with utilities, regulators, municipalities, ports, carriers, OEMs, customs brokers, and insurers
  • Compliance with applicable immigration requirements to legally work in the United States
