Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as IT infrastructure delivery lead for Avangrid Power across Cloud, OS, Database, Network, Telecommunications, and hardware infrastructure
Act as the main point of contact for Avangrid Power TPO service delivery, incident management, NERC CIP compliance assurance, technical management, budget management, and operational excellence
Interface with Business and IT Application Directors to gather TPO requirements and define provisioning activities, projects, and programs
Coordinate day-to-day activities and project operations with TPO Managers to ensure service delivery
Develop TPO service and technical delivery scopes aligned with business strategy and global objectives
Interface, report, and work with senior company stakeholders
Lead operational objectives by preparing action plans, implementing projects and IT services, resolving problems, identifying trends, and determining system improvements
Control and monitor project timelines, budgets, scope, risks, and changes
Define project process and procedure frameworks aligned with global standards and best practices
Review technical and business processes to drive continual improvement
Develop quality assurance policies and procedures for managed projects according to NERC CIP and NIST requirements
Ensure the enterprise can support infrastructure requirements, new technology, and high service levels
Manage Avangrid Power TPO budgets and IT procurement
Manage an annual budget exceeding $10 million in combined capital and operational expenses
Champion best practices in a high-volume, dynamic environment
Act as technical project manager for small projects when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications/computer information systems, or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Minimum 5 years' experience in project/program management
Relevant broad-based experience in technology leadership, management and/or related areas
Prior experience working in an IT Department
Prior experience coordinating IT Projects
Demonstrated history of exceptional customer service
Strong history of managing complex efforts with demanding customers
Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for utility companies, including NERC CIP and SOX
Strong technical background and understanding of server, storage, backup, cloud, network, and telecommunications
Proven experience in strategic project execution, strategic planning, risk management, and change management while engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Strong commitment to personnel safety and IT security
Ability to work varying hours, including early or late meetings across time zones
Ability to travel within the US and to Europe
Knowledge of JIRA and Kanban preferred
