About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Schedule, execute, and monitor batch jobs using Control-M, UC4, and Autosys
  • Ensure nightly completion of critical batch jobs and meet performance metrics
  • Maintain consistency across development, testing, and production environments
  • Monitor system health and job performance; generate status and performance reports
  • Develop workflows to meet business needs and integrate with applications such as SAP and ERP systems
  • Execute SAP transports and automate tasks using bash and batch scripting
  • Implement changes related to report distribution software
  • Provide advanced technical assistance to application and operations teams
  • Identify root causes of failures and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Train users and support scheduling-tool functionality
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support audits
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, and Ansible
  • Participate in disaster recovery exercises and incident, change, and problem management
  • Generate operational and performance dashboards using Kibana, Power BI, ServiceNow, and Elastic
  • Manage scheduling-tool configurations, user access, and security
  • Maintain production JCL library integrity and implement test JCL
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and transports of job definitions
  • Maintain schedule, process, and procedure documentation
  • Assume department responsibilities in the manager’s absence
  • Plan system outages and maintain batch calendars
  • Support off-hours scheduling and occasional weekend work
  • Report to the Manager – IT Production Control

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Prior experience with Autosys, CA Automic (UC4), Control-M, or Stonebranch
  • Prior experience working with Unix/AIX/Wintel systems, IBM utilities, and scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell and Ansible) for automation tasks
  • Familiarity with SAP and job scheduling tools (Control-M, UC4, Autosys)
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow for ITSM processes
  • Prior experience with FTP/SFTP, encryption, Amazon S3, and cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices
  • Proven experience as a Control-M, UC4, Autosys operator or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of batch scheduling concepts and job management
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux) and database management
  • On-call availability and shift work, including early morning and occasional weekend coverage
  • Must comply with applicable immigration requirements to legally work in the United States
