Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly on the evolution, redevelopment, and reimplementation of the Diagnóstico V2 project, transforming business rules and legacy system functionality into a modern architecture
Analyze, understand, and interpret business rules from complex legacy systems in order to propose up-to-date, sustainable technical solutions
Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs and backend components in a structured, clean, and highly testable manner
Apply software engineering best practices, systems architecture principles, and design patterns to modernize applications
Ensure the quality, performance, security, and maintainability of code released to production
Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on architecture decisions, technical requirements gathering, and delivery planning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing or holding a higher-education degree in Information Technology, OR a completed degree in any field combined with a lato sensu postgraduate qualification (specialization, master’s, or doctoral degree) in IT, with a minimum workload of 360 hours
Solid, proven experience as a Java Backend Developer/Engineer
Strong command of Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem
Hands-on experience with data persistence using JPA/Hibernate
Experience building, integrating, and documenting RESTful APIs and microservices
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management
Proven experience refactoring, analyzing, and rebuilding legacy systems
Experience with messaging architectures (Apache Kafka or similar technologies)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with automated testing practices (unit and integration testing) and CI/CD pipelines / DevOps
