About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Undertake economic analysis supporting policy research and evaluation
  • Support economic evaluation, VfM/5Es analysis, cost-benefit analysis and bespoke economic studies
  • Analyse quantitative datasets and evidence
  • Communicate findings clearly
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Support development of ICF's economics capability
  • Contribute to economic analysis for UK public sector clients, including DESNZ, BIST (DBT), DCMS and Defra
  • Contribute to growing the portfolio of economic and value-for-money evaluations and bespoke economic analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in economics or a quantitative discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proven track record contributing to consulting assignments, economic/value-for-money evaluations, and/or other economic analysis projects
  • Ability to manage a varied workload to deadlines without compromising quality
  • Economic evaluation, value for money analysis, appraisal or cost-benefit analysis experience desirable
  • Knowledge of HM Treasury Green Book, Magenta Book and Aqua Book desirable
  • Economic modelling and quantitative analysis experience desirable
  • Experience in DESNZ, BIST (DBT), DCMS or Defra policy areas desirable
