About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee daily operations of residential, commercial, and pilot energy efficiency programs
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and regulatory deliverables
  • Lead cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, outreach, and marketing personnel
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to achieve program objectives
  • Support business development efforts, program launches, transitions, and continuous improvement
  • Design and execute pilot programs evaluating innovative technologies and delivery models
  • Conduct analyses of cost-effectiveness, energy savings, and market potential
  • Monitor trends in energy efficiency, flexible load management, and distributed energy resources
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, manufacturers, and community stakeholders
  • Direct teams responsible for project reviews, incentive processing, and performance reporting
  • Develop and maintain workflow documentation, SOPs, and process automation strategies
  • Present program performance metrics and insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with IT and reporting teams to prioritize data requests and enhance visualization tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, utility program management, or consulting
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams and client relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience with pilot programs, retail and midstream product strategies, or HVAC and lighting technologies
  • Familiarity with Technical Reference Manuals (TRMs), Measurement & Verification (M&V) protocols, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, BPI, RESNET, or Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated experience working with underserved communities and engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of state regulatory processes, filings, and protocols relative to energy utilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
