About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications
- Identify process and workflow inefficiencies and propose improvements
- Analyze business data to provide actionable insights, trends, and reports
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to reflect business requirements in system enhancements and solutions
- Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, project timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate between government partners and stakeholders to align program activities with requirements and priorities
- Create business cases, use cases, workflow diagrams, and other detailed documentation
- Assist with user acceptance testing and provide implementation support
- Stay current with industry trends and methodologies and recommend process-improvement best practices
- Travel to the Guaynabo office and client locations across Puerto Rico for meetings, collaboration, and project support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident per federal contract requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role or related field
- 2+ years of experience with data analysis and business process improvement techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and common data/reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 15% in Puerto Rico as requested
- Willingness/ability to commute to the ICF office in Guaynabo
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with business analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar
- Preferred: Knowledge of Agile, PMBOK, or other project management methodologies
- Preferred: Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or performance tracking tools
- Preferred: Familiarity with geospatial, environmental, or housing-related programs
