About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and workflows and propose improvements
  • Analyze business data to provide actionable insights, trends, and reports
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to reflect business requirements in system enhancements and solutions
  • Support project managers with planning, scheduling, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate between government partners and stakeholders to align program activities with requirements and priorities
  • Create business cases, use cases, workflow diagrams, and other detailed documentation
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and provide implementation support
  • Stay current with industry trends and methodologies and recommend process-improvement best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and business process improvement techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and common data/reporting tools
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Remote position located in Puerto Rico, or willing to relocate to Puerto Rico, and able to travel up to 15% to visit clients, stakeholders, and essential meetings at ICF’s office in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Puerto Rico as needed, up to 15%, for candidates outside Puerto Rico
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with business analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Agile, PMBOK, or other project management methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or performance tracking tools
  • Preferred: Familiarity with geospatial, environmental, or housing-related programs
