About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather and document requirements, and translate them into functional specifications
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and workflows and propose improvements
  • Analyze business data to provide actionable insights, trends, and reports for decision-making
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure business requirements are reflected in system enhancements or solutions
  • Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables
  • Support coordination between government partners and stakeholders to align program activities with requirements and priorities
  • Create business cases, use cases, workflow diagrams, and other detailed documentation
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and provide implementation support
  • Stay current with industry trends and methodologies and recommend process-improvement best practices
  • Travel to the Guaynabo office and client locations across Puerto Rico as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident per federal contract requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role or related field
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and business process improvement techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and common data/reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 15% in Puerto Rico as requested
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with business analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or similar
  • Preferred: Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and PMBOK
  • Preferred: Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or performance tracking tools
  • Preferred: Familiarity with geospatial, environmental, or housing-related programs
