About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support compliance with applicable environmental and social safeguard requirements
- Review E&S aspects of DPRs, technical documents, work plans and reports
- Identify environmental and social risks associated with project activities
- Undertake field inspections and document compliance observations
- Maintain safeguard monitoring records and checklists
- Coordinate safeguard matters with the project team, contractors and relevant agencies
- Track issues and support corrective actions and follow-up
- Provide E&S inputs to progress reports and CITIIS platform reporting
- Support stakeholder consultations on environmental or social matters
- Assist with safeguard-related workshops and capacity building
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related field
- 5 years experience in environmental/social safeguards and urban projects preferred
- Relevant background in safeguard compliance, environmental monitoring, environmental management plans, site inspections and government project documentation
- E&S safeguard monitoring
