About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a lead reviewer for NEPA projects
- Interact with applicants and agency staff
- Help agency staff manage preparation of EAs and EISs
- Review NEPA documents prepared by applicants’ contractors
- Review environmental components of applications
- Participate in the Project Management team
- Act as PM on EAs or DPM on EISs
- Develop written materials and analyses for EAs, EISs, or categorical exclusions
- Serve as liaison to direct technical staff on project teams
- Coordinate project deliverables with document production staff
- Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Organize and facilitate meetings, including agendas, meeting content, and summaries
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and agency staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task under strict deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to succeed with new and challenging tasks
- Ability to set challenging, measurable and sustainable goals in collaboration with manager(s)
- Ability to identify and meet the needs of clients within established guidelines
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and clients to achieve established goals
