About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications to meet client business requirements
- Discover and document business outcomes and functional requirements with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts
- Translate requirements into effective ServiceNow solution designs
- Implement solutions with cross-functional teams according to requirements and industry best practices
- Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies
- Support data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow and validate data structures
- Assist with ServiceNow integrations with other systems and applications
- Document configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions
- Test configurations for functionality, data integrity, and user experience
- Address issues and make necessary adjustments
- Support end-user training and change management
- Troubleshoot and resolve implementation incidents and problems
- Adhere to security and compliance requirements
- Stay current on ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices
- Continue certification and training to meet practice standards and growth areas
- Collaborate with project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders on project coordination, communication, risks, issues, successes, and status
- Work autonomously and with team members; mentor associate developers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
- 1+ years experience with Portal customization
- 1+ years experience with advanced javascript
- 2+ years experience in agile software development
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification
- US Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance
- Must reside in the United States and perform the work in the United States
- Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification
- Preferred: Ability to configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications using App Engine autonomously
- Preferred: Experience developing advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts
- Preferred: Experience supporting data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow
- Preferred: Experience testing ServiceNow configurations
- Preferred: Experience troubleshooting ServiceNow implementations
- Preferred: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred: Strong experience with agile methodology and agile scrum teams
- Preferred: Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Preferred: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Attention to detail
- Preferred: 3+ years of advanced JavaScript
- Preferred: Strong stakeholder presentation and interfacing experience
- Preferred: Active DHS or DoD Secret clearance
