About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications for client business requirements
- Work with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to document business outcomes and functional requirements
- Translate requirements into ServiceNow solution designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions aligned with best practices
- Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies
- Support data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow
- Validate data migration and leverage out-of-the-box ServiceNow data schemas
- Assist with ServiceNow integrations with other systems and applications
- Create technical documentation for configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions
- Test ServiceNow configurations for functionality, data integrity, and user experience
- Support end-user training and change management
- Troubleshoot and resolve implementation-related incidents and technical problems
- Follow security best practices and compliance requirements
- Stay current with ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices
- Continue certification and training to meet practice standards and growth areas
- Coordinate with project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders
- Communicate project risks, issues, successes, and status
- Mentor associate developers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
- 1+ years of experience with Portal customization
- 1+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript
- 2+ years of experience in agile software development
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification
- US citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance
- Must reside in and perform the work in the United States
- Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification
- Preferred: Ability to configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications using App Engine
- Preferred: Advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts experience
- Preferred: Data migration design and activities experience
- Preferred: ServiceNow configuration testing experience
- Preferred: Troubleshooting ServiceNow implementations
- Preferred: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred: Strong agile methodology and Scrum team experience
- Preferred: Team-oriented collaborative work experience
- Preferred: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: Attention to detail
- Preferred: 3+ years of advanced JavaScript
- Preferred: Stakeholder presentation and interfacing experience
- Preferred: Active DHS or DoD Secret clearance
