About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan public engagement, IEC and stakeholder consultation activities
  • Identify stakeholder groups and support systematic engagement
  • Prepare accessible communication and outreach materials
  • Organise consultations, public meetings, awareness programmes and workshops
  • Support social mobilisation and participation
  • Integrate gender and inclusion considerations into engagement activities
  • Coordinate with communities, Municipal Council departments and other stakeholders
  • Document consultations, feedback, issues and follow-up actions
  • Provide social and engagement inputs to project reports and CITIIS platform reporting
  • Support project training and capacity-building activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Social Work, Development Studies or a related field
  • Relevant experience in IEC, public engagement or social mobilisation
  • Background in public-sector or urban development projects, community consultation, gender-responsive engagement, behaviour-change communication or workshop facilitation
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Experience developing IEC materials
  • Experience in community mobilisation
  • Gender and social inclusion awareness
  • Consultation facilitation experience
  • Communication skills
  • Documentation and reporting experience
