About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a strategic business partner for assigned lines of business
- Partner with leaders to align people and business objectives
- Advise and support leaders and employees on business issues and change management initiatives
- Assess key people processes and serve as a trusted advisor to assigned business units
- Build people strategies covering growth, workforce and succession planning, and retention
- Lead transformational initiatives supporting leadership competence and organizational development
- Roll out performance management, compensation planning, and retention strategies
- Advise management on organization structure, job, and titling changes
- Develop workforce plans and collaborate with talent acquisition to execute hiring plans
- Conduct needs assessments and develop project plans for talent management
- Lead annual merit and bonus cycles for assigned business units
- Partner with Learning & Development on employee and leader development initiatives
- Facilitate change management strategies and act as a change agent
- Provide project management for assigned HR projects
- Conduct performance and organizational readiness diagnostics
- Refine, roll out, evaluate, and revise change management processes
- Design and facilitate interventions to drive organizational change
- Guide organizational diagnosis, metrics, organizational design, development, and change solutions
- Design and execute employee engagement and productivity strategies
- Advise leaders on engagement, talent, and learning best practices
- Provide leadership on performance management programs, metrics, content, and technology
- Develop trusted relationships with business leaders to implement HR programs
- Identify top talent and succession candidates and recommend organizational efficiency improvements
- Guide project teams; no formal supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required, with a major or emphasis in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Education, or related field
- Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum 5 years of related HR experience required
- Working knowledge of organization effectiveness and engagement programs, performance management, and evaluation of programs
- Demonstrated skills in structured project management, written and verbal communication, facilitation, and internal consulting
- Experience leading project teams
- Problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills in a complex business environment
- Experience designing and implementing change management plans in an organization of 500 or more employees
- Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to model team member behavior
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees; executive-level presentation experience
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management
- Basic understanding of statistics and measurement techniques
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Certification in Organizational Development or Human Resources preferred
