About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain Guest Service according to company standards
Generate sales
Perform housekeeping, re-stocking, signing, and pricing
Operate cash registers/POS and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities
Support loss prevention in adherence to company policies and store standards
Greet and acknowledge every Guest and maintain a Guest-friendly environment
Maintain product knowledge, merchandise promotions, and advertisements awareness
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping
Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise
Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
Communicate Guest requests to management
Perform other duties assigned by management
Report to the Retail Supervisor; hours may be extended during the season

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and climb stairs multiple times a day
Ability to lift 40 pounds at times
Ability to communicate in English with associates and guests
Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation
Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
Ability to work in an unheated building
Willingness to live in a remote, rural community
Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting
Ability to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather
Seasonal availability from April through October 2027 in Hoonah, Alaska
