About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and continuously improve the monthly close process
  • Analyze project data to provide insights for creative and production teams
  • Track and reconcile project-level costs, labor allocations, and vendor activity
  • Improve systems integrations and reporting workflows
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Collaborate with creative, production, and project management teams
  • Ensure project costs and revenue are accurately captured and forecasted
  • Support vendor and customer workflows, including expense reports, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Assist with audit preparation, tax support, and ad hoc financial reports
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Report to the VP of Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience using multiple financial and non-financial systems, including QuickBooks Online, Concur, PipeDrive, Monday, Slack, and Looker Studio
  • Proven ability to perform high-quality, detailed work with minimal supervision
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with large data sets
  • Project accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of film tax credit laws in Georgia and other states is a bonus
  • Master’s degree is a bonus
  • CPA or CPA candidate is a bonus
  • Successful completion of a background check
