About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead consult-first discovery sessions with prospective clients to diagnose business performance, identify growth constraints, and define marketing objectives
  • Translate discovery into recommendations aligned to patient booking growth and revenue per appointment
  • Partner with leadership to develop scopes of work and proposals
  • Document prospect interactions to support handoff from discovery to onboarding
  • Own a portfolio of OMS clients as primary point of contact and strategic advisor
  • Lead onboarding, kickoff, and ongoing strategy sessions with practice owners and staff
  • Conduct data-driven performance reviews and identify opportunities to optimize results and deepen engagement
  • Drive client retention through trusted-advisor relationships and demonstrating business value
  • Translate client objectives into actionable plans aligned to Booking Growth and Retail Growth campaign paths
  • Delegate and coordinate work across internal OMS teams for timely, high-quality execution
  • Manage timelines with leadership when needed based on team capacity
  • Ensure work aligns with strategy, budget, and success metrics
  • Maintain client-interaction documentation for continuity, alignment, and performance tracking
  • Use GPN The Edge, Optometry Marketing Services reports, and client inputs to guide strategy and measure impact
  • Set up and maintain client reporting frameworks
  • Identify performance trends and adjust recommendations
  • Connect marketing activity to patient bookings and revenue per appointment
  • Liaise between clients and internal OMS teams
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to support pipeline conversion and client experience
  • Share best practices, tools, and insights across OMS
  • Use Asana, MS Teams, HubSpot, Zendesk, and email to coordinate activity
  • Refer clients to IDOC strategic partners where appropriate
  • Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert through events, social channels, and other platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong track record working with small to mid-sized businesses
  • Demonstrated experience owning client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes across a portfolio of accounts
  • Proven ability to operate in a consultative, solutions-oriented environment – diagnosing client needs and recommending tailored strategies
  • Strong command of digital marketing channels, performance measurement, and how to evaluate ROI across tactics
  • Experience managing cross-functional execution – coordinating internal teams to deliver against client commitments
  • Healthcare or healthcare-adjacent marketing experience preferred
  • Experience in an agency or client services environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot), and project management tools (e.g. Asana)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to lead client-facing strategy conversations
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Travel requirement: ~10%
