About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage account closures while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address account closure issues
  • Handle returned payments, investigate discrepancies, and resolve related issues
  • Communicate with clients and financial institutions regarding returned payments
  • Respond accurately and promptly to RFIs from regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed records of correspondence and responses
  • Conduct due diligence on new beneficiaries in compliance with AML and KYC regulations
  • Update and maintain beneficiary information in the system
  • Manage SWIFT transaction communications, recalls, and related inquiries
  • Assess operational risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Implement and monitor controls to prevent financial fraud and compliance breaches
  • Prepare regular reports on compliance activities and incidents
  • Document operations according to internal policies and regulatory standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years in a compliance or operational role within the financial services industry
  • Familiarity with AML, KYC, and other relevant financial regulations
  • Ability to analyze complex information and identify compliance risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations
  • Proficiency in compliance software and MS Office Suite
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Full background checks will be carried out on successful candidates
