About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and ship catalog features end-to-end, including API design, business logic, data models, and React UI
Use AI-driven SDLC tooling such as Claude Code for code generation, spec-to-code translation, and automated test creation
Participate in the catalog modernization effort on the new stack alongside the existing platform
Write and maintain automated tests
Review pull requests, maintain code standards, and improve the shared golden path
Collaborate with product and design to refine specifications before and during implementation
Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerts
Participate in the on-call rotation and own incident response for catalog services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience shipping production code with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, with daily use in delivering real software
Comfortable contributing across backend, frontend, and data layers
Experience owning features end-to-end from specification through deployment, observability, and on-call
Strong grasp of software design principles, automated testing, code review, and CI/CD
Backend development proficiency in one or more of C#/.NET, Go, Python, or Java; .NET/C# is the primary stack
Proficiency in React or an equivalent modern frontend framework
Relational database experience with MS SQL Server or Postgres
Proficiency in REST API design and microservice patterns
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
Minimum of 10+ years of software engineering experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Google Business Suite experience preferred
Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment
Ability to determine when to escalate issues in a timely manner
