About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, configure, maintain, and document software components based on design specifications
Develop and integrate technological components within the sBMS architecture
Develop interoperability components in accordance with the EU interoperability framework
Reuse components from adjacent systems where applicable
Develop and execute unit test specifications using the applicable toolset and infrastructure
Design automation testing scripts for unit and integration testing
Participate in code reviews to improve code quality, security, and knowledge sharing
Guide and mentor junior developers
Implement user requirements specified by the Product Owner and Business Analyst team
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including installation and operation manuals
Assist with deployment and configuration across QA, pre-production, and production environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to understand IT design models and specifications and use them as a basis for programming
In-depth knowledge of Java (Spring Boot microservices)
Good knowledge of web and multi-tier web application development
Good knowledge of REST, gRPC, Kafka/IBM Event Streams
Ability to work with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, Helm, and Istio
Experience with GitHub CI/CD, ArgoCD, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and Fortify
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Vector, Kibana), and Splunk
Experience with CASE or modelling tools, such as Sparx Enterprise Architect and UML 2.x diagrams
Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies in application development
Experience and willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment
Written and spoken English at minimum C1 level (CEFR)
