About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support multiple attorneys within the corporate Legal Department, with emphasis on the Litigation Group
- Provide traditional and specialized administrative support across a range of practice areas
- Assist with programs and events, Board or committee meetings, publications, registrations, materials, presentations, and other assigned matters
- Perform confidential administrative duties relating to business matters or personnel issues
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings and special events, and maintain calendars
- Make travel arrangements as assigned
- Maintain files and records
- Prepare documents and reports
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Coordinate communications with internal and external contacts
- Compile, track, and analyze data as needed
- Monitor budgets
- Compile and distribute meeting minutes
- Process invoices or expense reports
- Maintain office supplies and equipment
- Acknowledge and communicate emergency alarms to appropriate personnel in the Facilities department
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of administrative assistant/administrative experience
- Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good project management skills, including the ability to manage projects simultaneously, organize efficiently, establish priorities and attend to details
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and manage and coordinate program details and meeting logistics
- Illinois Farm Bureau does not generally sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
