About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support multiple practice areas within the corporate Legal Department, primarily corporate, litigation, regulatory, transactions, and contracts
- Act as a liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, the organization, and in-house employees
- Assemble, prepare, proof, analyze, and edit drafts of legal documents
- Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities as required
- Prepare and conduct summaries of legal research as directed
- Review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations as needed
- Assist attorneys with litigation case files, reports, legal holds, and discovery matters as needed
- Work on special projects and corporate initiatives as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training
- Paralegal certificate strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Analytical ability and ingenuity
- Strong problem-solving skills and good judgement
- Technical savvy
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office suite and legal enterprise software
- Well organized and able to identify and prioritize tasks
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects
- Proven ability to anticipate needs and requirements and adjust positively to changes in direction and/or assignment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
